Orange for Audrey
topshop trench walk leopard skirt celine

Welcome back! Today's outfit is a little bit different for me seeing as I don't usually wear orange or leopard-- but I've never been afraid of trying new things. Hello! orange is definitely one of the biggest colors of this season seeing as the 70's have come back with a vengeance. While there are those that call leopard print a "neutral" I 100% believe it should be dressed with caution. There is a tendency to make it go a little overboard and that's never a good thing. I toned down this look with a basic trench from Topshop and flat black chelsea boots which gave the whole thing a bit of a "London Calling" feel, which is one of my favorite eras of dressing, btw.

I accessorized the look with a pair of oversized Celine sunglasses which made the whole thing very old Hollywood movie star. Someone who I consider to be my absolute favorite style icon is Audrey Hepburn- who would have turned 86 yesterday. While I didn't do this on purpose, I couldn't help but feel like Audrey in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with those sunnies and trench on (I have seen almost all of her films). Seriously could the trench and sunnies not be on Audrey Hepburn in a 1960's film? I think so. Happy Birthday Audrey.

This week's song is Matt Simons- Catch and Release Deepend Remix- I can't get enough of it right now. Enjoy!

People are always asking me, "What do you do with all your clothes? Where do you put it all? How do you keep so much stuff?"

Well the answer to that is, I don't. Living in a small apartment with my boyfriend, dog, and cat is great and all, but there plain and simply is a huge lack of closet space. While I love my little family of 4, it is hardly a stylist's dream. I am constantly buying, selling, donating, and gifting things to friends when I can no longer wear them or keep them in my closet. While it's important to me to keep my favorite basics and essentials for styling shoots on hand, there are things that I must part with at the end of the day. This is where Tradesy comes in. It has basically saved my life. It gives me the opportunity to list my clothing, shoes, handbags, etc all in one online marketplace. This genius idea originally started with wedding dresses, something that can obviously only be worn once. Almost the same principal applies when running a fashion blog and being a wardrobe stylist; most of the time I can only use or wear things once or twice for shoots. When I can't use it anymore, Tradesy gives me just the place to resell them.

Did I mention I also buy things on Tradesy? It's the BEST to get deals on new or vintage handbags like this Chanel one I am currently coveting. As I'm not always blessed in the financial department, it's a great place to get deals on luxury items for a bargain. Running until the end of today they're having a huge Black Friday sale, so prices are even better than usual. They've also recently introduced payment plans so if you'd like to purchase an expensive handbag, for example, you can pay it off over 3 months instead of right away. I don't know about you all but that's making that Chanel bag a whole lot more obtainable. None of you would actually plan on me not shopping any more, would you?!?! Check out below some of the stuff I'll have available from my closet, and I'll keep updating it as well! Fall for White

Round Wayfarer Linda Farrow Luxe, Custom vintage time piece necklace: Burgwin Studios

As those of you who live in L.A. know, Fall doesn't really HAPPEN here. It's sort-of one of those times where everyone just seems to be running around town in duster jackets and scarves for literally no reason at all. The only legitimate reason to wear a puff jacket November in Southern California is for a trip to the Ralph's freezer aisle- why is it always so Arctic at the grocery store? That being said, our version of Autumn clothing loosely translates to somewhat summer clothes with a Fall twist, be that a boot or an unnecessary scarf. Last week was especially hot, 80's and 90's even by the beach where I live, so this is an outfit perfect to get by during those in-between-i'm-not-really-sure-what-season-it-is-months. I paired a 3/4 sleeve crop top with a high-waisted denim skirt, lace overlay, and low-heeled boot. Oh yeah, and it's all white. One of my favorite looks for "Winter". Forget about the outdated "fashion rules" like no white after Labor Day, they're so 80's.
