We’ve all seen the scene in The Devil Wears Prada when Miranda schools Andy on Cerulean Blue and the importance it had in the life cycle of a fashion garment. For some reason that always stuck with me, because seriously it’s so true in the world of #fashun, color is really important! You don’t think anything of it, but the colors that are being dictated by Pantone get trickled immediately into the fashion world and become trends to be remembered for years to come. The last couple years the Pantone color of the year have been interesting and bright, like last year’s Ultra Violet moment. I like purple, but ultra violet is one of those colors that I can wear only like once in a while. So, when I found out this year’s Pantone color of the year is Living Coral, I was pretty excited as we’ll be seeing it pop up everywhere from home decor to shoes, and it’s a warm punchy color that I will for sure be wearing well into Spring and Summer 2019.

Welp it’s February. Which means it’s almost that time again. That’s right friends, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Whether you’re a big fan of the holiday or nottt so much, I think we can all agree it can be fun to get in the mood and dress to celebrate. Whether you’re spending the day of love by hanging with your girlfriends, have date night with your boo, or going to see a show with a new friend, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite options for the occasion.

As for the look I’m wearing in today: This dress is maybe one of my favorite I’ve ever owned. It’s so flattering and I love the polka dots and ruching on the front. Sunglasses are the Ashtray from Raen, shoes are the Hope heels from Naturalizer.

It’s that time of the year again! Time for all the Holiday shenanigans which means you need something to wear to your office party, your bff’s ugly sweater party, Hanukkah dinner with your in laws, happy hour with your co-workers, happy hour with that dude from Tinder, happy hour with that dude from Bumble, happy hour with that one person that always dms you on Instagram who’s your last ditch resort for an New Year’s Eve kiss… you see where I’m going with this? You need a lot of festive frocks around the holidays and sometimes it can be overwhelming because you don’t want to buy like 737 dresses, lol. Here I’ve rounded up a bunch that I love and feel like can be worn more ways than 1 - so at least you can check 2 events off your list per dress! Woo hoo!

The one I’m wearing here is a little hot pink wrap dress and I love it for the happy hour with your girls situation, but it could also double as a dress for drinks with the dude from Bumble, or you could even add some sparkly accessories and rock it on New Year’s Eve. What I’m saying is this sort of dress will take you far in the Holiday party circuit this year, and it’s not your usual red and green plaid situation which is great.
