2019 Pantone Color of the Year: Living Coral
the style sauce fashion blogger, 2019 pantone color of the year Living Coral

We’ve all seen the scene in The Devil Wears Prada when Miranda schools Andy on Cerulean Blue and the importance it had in the life cycle of a fashion garment. For some reason that always stuck with me, because seriously it’s so true in the world of #fashun, color is really important! You don’t think anything of it, but the colors that are being dictated by Pantone get trickled immediately into the fashion world and become trends to be remembered for years to come. The last couple years the Pantone color of the year have been interesting and bright, like last year’s Ultra Violet moment. I like purple, but ultra violet is one of those colors that I can wear only like once in a while. So, when I found out this year’s Pantone color of the year is Living Coral, I was pretty excited as we’ll be seeing it pop up everywhere from home decor to shoes, and it’s a warm punchy color that I will for sure be wearing well into Spring and Summer 2019.

Whether you want to hop on the Living Coral Pantone Color of the Year by incorporating it into your wardrobe or as an accessory in your home, below I’ve rounded up some fun ways to get in on the coral action.

2 Ways to Wear a Red Wrap Dress For The Holidays
the style sauce // red dress // fashion blog // womens fashion ideas // date night look

I love red. I wear it year round, but it definitely makes an even bigger splash in my closet during the holidays. That being said, there's nothing like a red dress to make you feel like a real life dancing girl emoji, and I love the two I'm wearing in this post which are both from Someday's Lovin' (coincidentally, btw, not a sponsored post).

In this post,  check out two ways to style a red wrap dress. Both with a leather jacket, but one for a day about the town, and the other look for a more lady-like date night approach with heels. For day time, I opted for a more midi length satin dress, and for date night I love the crushed velvet option that shows a little more skin, which i accessorized with my favorite patent leather shoes right now from Tamara Mellon (they're called the Rendezvous).

Fall favorite: The black jumpsuit
the style sauce fashion blog street style black pantsuit, white stan smith sneakers, Furla scoop bag // fall style

Lately I've been back to my old tricks and wearing A LOT of black, and particularly in one type of article of clothing: the jumpsuit. I know why this is my favorite article of clothing as of late: it's comfortable,  easy to dress up or down, really flattering on all body types, and requires only one step to get dressed, so over all it's a win-win.

The one I'm wearing in this post has a fun lace up back which makes it super cute and sexual for a night out with heels, or you can wear it with sneakers or sandals and make it more day time casual. Sexual or casual, take your pick lol. With the sneakers I also accessorized with my favorite black sailor hat, a baby blue custom made bandana from Oli Rose designs, and my new favorite bag from Furla called the "Scoop" bag- mine is reversible which means I can wear it all black or flip it around and use the side that has navy pony hair and white leather detail - SO versatile. It's like two bags in one. Swoon.

Check out the full outfit and some of my other favorite black jumpsuits for Fall below.
